California Insurance CE Pricing Changes Coming in 2019
Complete your CA Insurance CE now and save money!
New changes are coming to the California Department of Insurance that will affect the cost of your California Insurance CE.
Due to take place sometime in Summer 2019 (exact date has not been released), the California Department of Insurance is switching to a new reporting system called Sircon. There will not be any major changes to the way you currently do your California Insurance CE, but there will be new fees that you should be aware of! Please see the fee schedule below:
About Sircon:
• License Renewal fee through Sircon- $5 additional dollars per license.
• Sircon reporting fee– $0.67 per credit hour (keep in mind this is PER HOUR, so for 24 hours that’s an additional $16!)
• Sircon reporting fee for prelicensing– $6 per course (this includes Life, Accident and Health, Property & Casualty, Personal Lines, and Code and Ethics)
If you’re looking to save money, it may be a good idea to complete your Continuing Education now and avoid these new fees. Even if you’re not scheduled to renew your license until later in the year, you can always complete your continuing education early and submit your credit hours to the state.
