The CA Dept. of Insurance released updates to the CA Earthquake Certificate for Adjuster CE.
The adjuster CE helps Adjusters who work California earthquakes to become familiar with these updates:
- Extending earthquake coverage to rebuilding on a different site
- New coverage limits and sub-limits
- New major CEA checklist guidelines and repair standards
- The California Adjuster Act
What this means for you:
To work on California earthquake claims, you must update your California Earthquake Certificate. It is due by December 31, 2022. We offer a course covering the new information. You also need your annual Fair Claims Certificate completed before September 1, 2022.
Even with a renewed certificate, you need an updated course. You can’t work Earthquake claims Without an updated course before December 31, 2022.
